This is an aluminum trunk prop (boot stay across the pond). With this you can save some weight and get rid of the trunk springs...it’s more intended for a race car than one that needs to hold the trunk open for groceries but to each his own...

It is constructed of 3/8” (9.5mm) mandrel bent aluminum rod, a machined aluminum tab, and a plastic spherical bearing rated at 600lbs. The spherical bearing will allow more freedom of movement and make it easier to place into position. The intention of this part is to be paired with the carbon trunk arms (available soon) but this can be made to fit the steel trunk arm if you drill the trunk mounting hole wider to allow the bolt to hold to the innerfscef the trunk arm instead of the outer face.
